THE RUNDOWN

AnchorTEAMS

Each team must have 6 team members (3 males & 3 females).

AnchorCHANGING TEAM MEMBERS

Yes you can change team members up to 7 days before an event. You can also change team members between your qualifier event and the final. Team members must be from the same affiliate. This way you can pick your team based on fitness and availability.

All team members will need to be financial members of your affiliate or risk disqualification.

AnchorCATEGORIES

The Allstar Affiliate Series is open to all athletes catering from Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Athletes.

In 2017, Allstars has RXD, Scaled, Non Affiliate/Functional Fitness teams as well as Teens & Masters divisions.

All workouts can be scaled and we would encourage all athletes to participate and have fun regardless of their lifting ability.

Day one of competition is a qualifying event for day two of competition. On Day one RXD and Scaled competitors will compete in the same waves.  Day one Scores will be based on movements performed and load shifted. That way a team with advanced athletes will rank higher than a team with advanced and scaled athletes who will rank higher than a team with scaled athletes. This means that teams will be ranked based on ability and performance.

Day one of competition all teams perform side by side and Day two will consist of a Scaled category and a RXD category. Allstar Sports will determine the split for Day two based on Day one results. Everyone will compete over the two days.

AnchorTEAM NAMES

Please have pride in your affiliate and include your box name in your Team name. This also helps others know who they are competing with. This is a National competition and people all across Australia check the scoreboard.  Your affiliate name is important and should be respected.

JUDGES

Allstar Sports is attempting to do things a little differently in 2017.

After careful consideration we have decided that our policy for supplying judges for the 2017 Allstars Affiliate Series will be as follows:

  • Every team registered for the 2017 Allstars will be asked to provide 2 judges.
  • These judges may be athletes from your team or volunteers from your affiliate.
  • Each team will need their judges present as required by the schedule.
  • Judges will only be required for one heat per workout per day and these judges may be rotated around your team.
  • Judges will need to assemble along with the teams competing in that heat 10 mins prior to the heat start.
  • The judging schedule will follow the below format:
    • Heat 4 athletes to judge for Heat 1 teams.
    • Heat 5 athletes to judge for Heat 2 teams.
    • Heat 1 athletes to judge for Heat 3 teams.
    • Heat 2 athletes to judge for Heat 4 teams.
    • Heat 3 athletes to judge for Heat 5 teams.
  • In the event that a team does not provide 2 judges for their allocated heat they will be deducted points from the leader board.
  • The Allstar Affiliate Series is a community event and we hope that all competitors embrace this judging policy and should anyone have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact us.
  • Judges will be required at the Judges/Athletes briefing at 6:45am and 11:45am on both days depending on which wave you are competing in.

Please be aware of the following if considering being a volunteer:

  • If you volunteer for the weekend you are committing to Allstars for the weekend, not just a heat/event/wave or until something else comes up, you must be available the entire weekend (this does not mean you will be judging the entire time though).
  • Judges will have access to movement standards and judging criteria and will also be briefed on their responsibilities at the event. Judges will be required to judge in certain heats during the weekend.
  • All enquiries regarding judging please forward emails to judges@allstarsports.com.auAnchor
